While card stock can also be used, vinyl offers superior adhesion and a cleaner removal process. Similarly, I crafted a vinyl stencil for the inspirational quote, allowing for meticulous painting within the letterforms.

Starting with the right supplies ensures a smooth and enjoyable crafting experience. Here’s what you’ll need to create your DIY Anchor Canvas Art:

• Canvas: A 16×20 inch canvas is ideal for a prominent display, but feel free to choose any size that suits your space. These are readily available and quite affordable at most craft stores, often priced under $10, or even less during sales or with coupons.
• Vinyl: Any color of vinyl will work, as it will be removed once the paint dries. Choose a type that adheres well for stenciling.
• Craft Cutting Machine (Optional): For creating precise anchor and quote stencils. Alternatively, you can hand-cut vinyl or card stock.
