Canon EOS Rebel T4i {Giveaway-ended}

I’ve had some really amazing giveaways this holiday season for all of you………and I have one last one that I’m SOOO excited to share with you!

The people at Canon asked me to give the Canon EOS Rebel T4i a spin AND giveaway one away to one very lucky Cetcu reader!

A good camera is the holy grail to blogging and for most moms!  I couldn’t imagine taking pictures with a point and shoanymoreore.  Once I learned the ins and outs of shooting manually it just becomes second nature (not to say I’m not still learning, because there’s still SO much for me to learn).  But having a big girl camera where I can control how much light my camera sees, makes my photos infinitely better.

I had to get a shot of my baby boy! It’s hard to believe Cullen will turn 4 years old on Christmas Eve!

The Canon EOS Rebel T4i delivers 18 megapixels of professional grade image quality in a compact, lightweight, feature-filled, easy-to-use body that carries a very affordable price tag.

While you dream up what all you can do with a new fancy pants camera take a look at what all this beauty has to offer:

Canon introduces the most sophisticated Rebel ever—the EOS Rebel T4i DSLR! Built to make advanced photography simple and fun, the new Rebel T4i delivers phenomenal image quality, high performance, and fast, intuitive operation. This EOS Rebel amps up the speed with the powerful DIGIC 5 Image Processor that helps make high-speed continuous shooting of up to 5.0 fps possible—great for capturing fast action. An 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor ensures that every image is shot in superb, high resolution; and an extended ISO range of 100-12800 gives photographers the opportunities to take the Rebel T4i into more shooting situations than ever before. A 9-point all cross-type AF system (including a high-precision dual cross f/2.8 center point) delivers improved autofocus performance.  For users interested in creating impressive videos, the Rebel T4i is ready to help you create your next masterpiece.  First ever for an EOS Rebel, the Rebel T4i features a Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II, which allows fast and intuitive camera operation. Add compatibility with Canon’s proven EF and EF-S lenses and a slew of EOS accessories, the Rebel T4i is an incredibly versatile tool for creating the images and videos you envision.

Pretty awesome huh?!

Here’s are a few of pictures I’ve been taking with the EOS Rebel T4i:

I really wanted to try out the higher ISO.  There’s a little bit of noise at ISO 6400 but not bad.  This was taken at nearly 5pm in my kitchen with not much light left.

We had one of our family Christmas parties this weekend, and I got a nice shot of the Christmas tree with a ISO of 5000.  Again, a little noise but allowed me to get a nice moody Christmas tree picture without an flash.

Next up, I had to get a shot of the amazing Mile High Caramel Apple pie we had from the Blue Owl Cafe in Kimswick, MO ~they ship 😉  If you’d like to try and make one…… good ‘ol Paula Deen has a recipe for Savannah High Apple Pie.

I bought a gorgeous new Christmas wreath for our front door this year, at Lowes.

Pepper said she’s tired of Cullen getting all the blog glory, she was happy to give  a quick little pose for me outside today.

The Canon EOS Rebel T41 is one of the most popular entry level DSLR cameras on the market. It is lightweight, and I’m in love with the 9 cross-type focusing points and the touch screen option, which has a similar interface as my iphone and is very user friendly.  No, worry if you don’t like touch screens – you are free to use the physical buttons if you wish.  The Canon Rebel T4i is also designed to use the new STM lenses which are able auto focus smoothly and quietly for video, meaning no loud noise while focus is made!

I haven’t given the video a try yet, but I plan to use it on Christmas morning 😉

If you are a beginner to the DSLR world, the Canon EOS Rebel T4i  is a great option for the entry into the world of DSLR photography or a great upgrade from an older model camera.
