My secret weapons to staying clean in the kitchen #BleachitAway
Keep you and your kitchen clean and safe by using disposable gloves and Clorox Bleach.
Sometimes……. no make that often, working in the kitchen can be messy! Especially when you have to use your hands and food coloring!
Earlier this week I shared Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cookies. Look at how fabulous that bright red batter looks!
That bright red batter doesn’t looks so fabulous on my hands, clothes, counters or floors though!
Whether I’m rolling cookie dough for Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cookies, chocolate chip cookies or cake truffles I have a few secret weapons that keeps me sane in the kitchen…………….
Gloves! I have the very thin food grade gloves (kind of like surgical gloves) to protect my hands. They keep my hands free off all the gooey batter and red dye! No pink hands!!
They come in many sizes and can be found latex- and powder-free. (I get the vinyl that’s lightly powdered) I don’t use them in the kitchen all the time, but for handling sticky food that you have to roll, or raw meat, they are GREAT! They fit snugly and don’t seem to inhibit me in any way.

Since I’m not good about wearing an apron, besides aprons don’t protect your arms and such……I seem to go thru a few outfits a day when I bake lol not to mention all the kitchen linens I use (dish cloths, towels, pot holders etc)
Baking is messy! Sometimes it becomes a sport in my house.
What gets me thru all the mess? Clorox Bleach!
When I’m finished…….I mop up the floors, wipe down the counters and toss in a few loads of laundry! and I’m ready to go again the next day!
